U14 | Bloemhof Crowned Champions
At Western Province Cricket Club, Bloemhof and Rhenish delivered a final worthy of the occasion.
Bloemhof struck first in the opening quarter, capitalising on a well worked turnover. The ball was moved quickly into the circle, finding Caylin Stickling on the penalty spot, and she made no mistake with the finish.
They doubled their lead with one of the moments of the tournament. A driving run from halfway opened the defence before the ball was slipped wide to Milan Doncaster, who finished clinically to make it 2-0.
Rhenish were not done. Fae Readings pulled one back early in the final quarter, setting up a tense finish, but Bloemhof held their nerve to secure the title.
Durban Girls College claimed bronze with a hard fought 3-2 win over Eunice, while Paarl Gim and Reddam Constantia were crowned Plate and Bowl winners respectively.
U16 | Paarl Gim in Complete Control
The U16 final saw Paarl Gim deliver a performance of authority.
They opened the scoring through Nina Colyn, reacting quickest to a speculative ball into the circle to fire home. Just before half time, Leanne Troskie extended the lead from the penalty spot, giving Paarl Gim firm control of the match.
They never let that control slip. Nina Colyn added a third after finding space in the circle and finishing calmly, before Willanie du Preez completed the scoring late on after capitalising on a defensive lapse.
It was a complete performance and a deserved title.
Rhenish secured bronze with a 2-1 win over Waterkloof, while St Mary’s DSG Kloof claimed the Plate and Fairmont the Bowl.
U19 | Waterkloof Edge a Classic
The U19 final was a contest of patience, discipline and resilience.
For three quarters, neither side could break the deadlock. It was an intense, tactical battle where every moment mattered and space was hard to find.
As the game edged toward its conclusion, it felt like one goal would decide it.
With just two minutes remaining, that moment arrived. A ball into the circle was not fully cleared, and Elaine Haycock reacted quickest, scoring the goal that would ultimately separate the teams.
It was a fitting end to a high quality final.
Paarl Gim claimed bronze in a thrilling 3-2 win over DSG, while St Andrews lifted the Bowl and Durban Girls College secured the Plate.
